Noticing Extra Clicks Lately?
If you've noticed that now you sometimes have to click to get a menu, animation or other web content to work, you have Microsoft to thank. A recent update to Internet Explorer requires you to "Click to Activate" embedded content such as Flash, Windows Media, Adobe Reader and Java. The change comes from their recent lawsuit loss with Eolas, which claimed Microsoft’s method for handling browser plugins infringed on their patent. Your web developer can fix this if your site is effected. As of April 11, websites that didn't have the fixes require visitors to manually click and activate each instance on a page, every time they view the page.
